Filling St Peter's Church Hall with music between 1.45pm and 3.45pm on Thursday afternoons between September and May, we enjoy a diverse selection of music from all eras and disciplines. Recent repertoire has included a selection of songs from West Side Story, La La Land, the Beatles, as well as a selection of more classical - and classic! - choral pieces. All copies are provided, and whilst these take the form of vocal scores, there is no need to be able to read music as we work through each piece thoroughly.
For our concerts we either aim to choose a local charity or one close to our members hearts to benefit from the retiring collection. In recent seasons we have raised funds for charities such as The Friends of Southmead Hospital Haematology and Oncology Unit, Bristol Autism Support, Bristol Dementia Action Alliance and The Julian Trust, a charity which provides food and night shelter for the homeless. .
Once a term we also run our open rehearsal where, for a small entrance fee, you are welcome to come along and join in the singing, drink tea and eat cake!
See our Dates page for more information.
